Morning Pages

Each morning I write, my thoughts take flight

A download of plans & schemes, Desires & dreams,

Revelations & inspirations & Snippits of songs

Untold feelings from days long gone

Sadness and frustration, get it all on the page

Count those blessings to write another day

My life is now like an open book

All on these pages for better or worse

My writing pen imprints like braille on these even lines

I can physically feel my words…so what do I find?

I find my words have feelings and feelings have meanings

And they’ll say what they will

In this book of pages, almost full

– full of my life.

  1. You have such a wonderful way with words! My morning pages feel like a map to my life and soul. So many unexpected insights and the occasional creative download or unexpected solution. I have come to love them!

    1. Exactly what Cindye said, Cindy. I’ve gone back and started reading off and on my beginning pages, only to discover how much I have truly grown since April. Tomorrow is Entry #150 – some days I have written elsewhere, these are strictly “Morning Pages”. I love that I have sisters who truly understand what those pages mean to me and do for me, and that someone else really has that joy daily with me. Love you strong. So grateful you are here writing with us!!

  2. I just love this piece.

I can physically feel my words…so what do I find?” – so intriguing…so familiar such lovely imagery.

Thank you for inspiring me to get back to my Morning Pages.

    LYS!
