A walk in the garden

I’ve been gardening for decades, but it wasn’t until I moved to East Texas on my farm, that I really grew my craft. I do all kinds of gardening from flowers beds, herb gardening to vegetables. Sometimes I mix them all up in a way that isn’t typical. It’s my expression of myself I suppose. These gardens have provided such a wonderful place for me. I work hard to keep them weeded, planted and watered. In turn, they provide a place of happiness, reflection and meditation. So gardening is therapeutic to me on so many levels. I also love photography, so capturing nature is my passion. Here are a few glimpses into my garden.

  1. That’s a great way to start the day! Yellow lillies are my absolute favorite flower but the tiger ones may catch up now!

    1. I love the yellow lilies too and have a wonderful fragrant one blooming now. I’ll try to get a picture. Too bad this isn’t smell-o-vision!

    1. Thank you! It is definitely done work, but I love it. You’re welcome here anytime…just don’t bring LB!

  2. Tracy, what a beautiful pastime you have. I know it’s hard work because I used to do it, too, when I was able. I enjoy both your garden and your photos. Just beautiful. I paint so I may ask permission to paint one of your photos someday. 🙂 East Texas was my home for many years. It’s still a big part of my heart. I crochet as well, so we have that in common. I look forward to seeing all your beautiful posts.

    1. Awww, Thank you Lana ❤️
Of course you may use any pictures of mine you like. It is indeed hard work, but I so enjoy it.

  3. I love your garden and the tiger lily…OHHHH MYYYY… <3 <3 <3 I find comfort and solace in nature and this would be heaven!! I don't garden cause my fat cells cry (aka sweat) LOL. Thank you for sharing the beauty!

  4. Your garden looks beautiful! Your photos are amazing! Love to see how they change in the seasons!

I also love to garden, but I’m challenged by the Karstan rock our homestead is on top of! Barely a few inches of topsoil & if I’m lucky, I can dig up a rock big enough for a 1 gallon pot!! LoL!
