Shadow Chasing…

Have you ever been in a place where life seems filled with shadows? And you can’t quite figure out what it is about those shadows that keeps drawing you in.

For some shadows represent darkness, dark time, the boogeyman, trouble, and a foreshadowing of things to come.

Yet, what if those shadows are merely a form of ourselves?
…the US that no one fully knows.
…the playful, mischievous self that fads in and out; teasing the mind and soul.

What if that shadow represents the self we have yet to discover?
…the one hiding away the BIG dreams.
…the creative ideas and the innovative solutions.
…the songstress ready to soar.

What if that shadow is our reckless abandon beckoning us to live?
…to let the music out and the light in.
…to live more fully.
…to love more deeply.
…to grow right where we are.

What if that shadow is a foreshadowing of things to come?
…to grasp our own opportunities.
…to hear our own melody.
…to paint our own reality.
…to write our own future.
…to truly LIVE; unabashedly, audaciously LIVE.

This comes easier for some than others, but we must live child-like. As I watch my little shadow chaser and laugh a robust, room filling laugh, I can’t help but think…this, this is the way to be…relentlessly SHADOW CHASING!!!
