Lately things have not been going our way. Today was no exception. My car met an untimely death with a gust of wind, rain and a tree large branch. I think Penelope will be totaled.

As sad as I am about my car, I\u2019m more sad about the loss of my independence. My ability to go and do and try to create a life in Maine. Which I had just started doing this month since snow mountain finally melted and I could get my car out.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, I\u2019m trying to look at the bright side.
*I wasn\u2019t in the car when the tree branch came down.
*It wasn\u2019t Bixby\u2019s brand new truck\u2026less than a month old <\/p>\n\n\n\n
*Bixby can drop me off at the Y on his way to badge in 3 days a week\u2026I\u2019ll just have to adjust my schedule to match his.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
*We have insurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
*I am safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
*I am warm and dry\u2026now\u2026not so much earlier when trying to cover Penelope to keep the rain from pouring in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
*I will eventually get my independence back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
*Thankfully it wasn\u2019t a renters car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
*Bixby was able to find a place on the island to get a tarp to cover the car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
*The birds are enjoying playing in the rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
*The sun will eventually come out.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This too shall pass\u2026probably like a kidney stone\u2026but it will pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
