Fall comes after a very tough warm season. Brutal. Emotional. Heart wrenching. But yet resilient. The cool, crisp, comfortable breeze whispering onto my skin. I can finally wear a blanket around my body again. My flesh is not required to be bare, it needs a blanket to guard all the energies an empath feels. But I don\u2019t really want to be an empath – I have to be. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The intense Texas heat is over for the calendar year. It was less brutal than it usually is this year. I wonder if it was the decrease of air traffic and emissions due to the pandemic. It sure felt slightly easier than normal. But I\u2019m so happy fall is here. It\u2019s October and feeling like fall for once. Socks in the morning. Cozy pajamas. Long sleeves or a shawl. Too cold for shorts. I love this in between stage of the diminishing heat and the icy chill. My mind enters a cooler state as well, the music in my repertoire is more atmospheric and gentle. And a subtle melancholy, as it is appropriate for this time of year. Just like the crisp breeze. My eyes can handle contacts easier. The heat rash decreases on my sensitive skin. Finally – there is air to breathe – not only into my nose, but into my pores too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The darker blue skies. They aren\u2019t so harsh. The hand-brushed clouds on a sixty degree afternoon, reminding me of a short trip to Maine three years ago. Driving my car with the windows open and the air conditioning on low – or even off – because I don\u2019t need it. Natural air is filling my car. I\u2019d rather have that than the a\/c on full blast. It\u2019s wispy. It\u2019s mystical. It\u2019s romantic. Like driving a convertible with the wind lightly blowing through your hair. Vibey autumnal playlists sounding through the speakers. It\u2019s the gem warmer climates thrive on. It\u2019s a fresh perspective from the mundaneness of endless spring and summer. The trees can\u2019t talk with a voice box, but they are thrilled about the arrival of autumn.
