{"id":1529,"date":"2020-08-19T13:03:34","date_gmt":"2020-08-19T18:03:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/loveyoustrong.us\/?p=1529"},"modified":"2020-08-19T13:03:34","modified_gmt":"2020-08-19T18:03:34","slug":"t-h-e-d-r-e-s-s","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loveyoustrong.us\/index.php\/2020\/08\/19\/t-h-e-d-r-e-s-s\/","title":{"rendered":"T H E   D R E S S"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">The dress fits you better \nThan it did on me\nI halfway can\u2019t stand it \nI am halfway okay with that\nBut I want to be fully okay with it\n\nIt\u2019s a hard fact to face\nWhen your dream is stolen\u00a0\nBy someone better than yourself\nI wanted to be happy within that realm\n....but it wasn\u2019t made for me.\n\nI wasn\u2019t the young woman naturally cut out for that dress\u00a0\nIts material lacked a form fitting shape for my body\nI thought I was made to live that life\nI thought it brought me so much joy\n....but it obviously brings you more joy. \n\nI\u2019ve always wanted to see myself from someone else\u2019s perspective\u00a0\nIt seems I\u2019m looking at a piece of myself flourish in someone else\u2019s skeleton\nMy old dream found it\u2019s nearly \nperfect surrogate\u00a0\nIronically\n....and I\u2019m happy it did.\u00a0\n\nI wish I could hand the dress down.\ni wish I could feel more peace instead of lingering jealousy. \nI wish I could meet you there\ni wish I could realize your path\nwasn\u2019t meant to be mine.\n\nBut if I had to give away that dream, \nI would give it to someone of whom I could personally relate.\ni would give it to someone a lot like you.\ni would want someone else to cherish it, so it wouldn\u2019t perish into the endless darkness....\n....of things that would never happen.\n\nSo I\u2019m choosing to give it away.\nso it can fly into the bliss it deserves.\nso it can bloom in the soil of a soul, \ntending its life to the light \nof which the dream already holds \n\nYes.
