It has been a long time since I have written a poem. I go in spurts. I will write all the time, then run dry for a while. Life sometimes gets in the way. Other times, everywhere I look is a poem waiting to be written!
I have been dealing with a situation that caused me to write. I hope it brings me peace in this difficult situation. I hope it helps others dealing with similar stonewalls.

Where do I even begin?
How do I describe myself in a few words?
We all are layers and layers of beauty.
Complexities. Simplicities.
Multiple versions and iterations of ourselves.
Growing. Changing. Flowing. Evolving.
There are so many ways to complete the sentence, "I am ____."
For now, I think, I will leave it with I am.
Let's JUST BE together!

Nancy, what an immersive, universal, powerful and personal poem. I felt every word to my core. I am so glad to have seen this…
Thank you, Cindye. You are not kidding. Writing poetry is one of the most cathartic things I can do. It’s such a blessing we have writing as an outlet.
Wow. You spoke so deeply to my soul. My heart breaks that you have had to walk this, and I’m so inspired by your bravery to not only fight through, but to share it. “The wall is theirs. Not mine.” Yes! I love you so strong sister. Sending you every bit of positive and love, and know that’s what you are to me, positive and love. LYS
Thank you for your heartfelt comments, Dana. Most of all, thank you for your encouragement, positive, and love. You are a shining light to me. Love you strong, sister.

Thank you Dorothy. I appreciate your comment. I am also glad you saw it.
Powerful. I really like the graphic you put with it. Poetry has a way of helping us to process the hard stuff.
