Sweet Inspiration
A Poem by Jim Hughes
I stand alone on a sleepless night hoping ideas will form and take flight Struggling with which words to write Looking for sweet inspiration. My mind is wandering while I am pacing My moments of peril again I am facing Tender moments I'm gently retracing Searching for sweet inspiration But the embers are dying, there'll be no fire Inspiration has chosen not to inspire So again tonight I must retire Still hoping for sweet inspiration.
I wanted to share this poem my husband wrote a long time ago. I think it is worthy of being published. It describes my plight right now.
Oh Lana, I love this so much. Of course I do because I looooooooovvveeee Jim. đź’– In all seriousness, this is beautiful. And so relational. I love you strong, Jim too.
THANK YOU!!!
