Paddy
I was going to work one day when I saw my cat at the other end of the block. I stopped the car and in a scolding voice yelled, “Paddy, go home!” The very next day I saw him in the same place again as I was coming home from the grocery store. I stopped and yelled “Paddy, go home!” at him again. He totally ignored me.
I hurried home intending to go get Mr. Paddy as soon as I put the frozen food away.
When I told my husband what I had just seen for the second day in a row, he said,
“Paddy is asleep on my bed.”
“You mean I have been yelling at someone else’s cat? I said.
“Evidently,” he replied.
“Oh no! I wonder what in the world our neighbors are thinking about me? No, wait, maybe I don’t want to know.”
LOVE IT, EG!! You are EG, right? Wait. Nope, you aren’t on my bed, so it’s you. 💖 I love the story of Paddy. It’s a total Dana move. It’s why we are kindred. LYS Dorothy, thanks for being here.
Yes, my alias is EG. And I stand in your shadow, Daner, happily I might add. Thank you for inviting me.
HA!! Love it!!
I have a feeling that most of us who have had cats, at one time or another, can totally relate! This is a perfect example of how cats affect the lives of those who care for them.
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, April. I am looking forward to getting acquainted with all the other writers here.
