The Rose
We are having some remodeling done at our house, which is why you haven’t heard much from me lately. On the morning that the painters were to come, I snapped a picture of a rose blooming. I had intended to cut it and put it in a vase. I got busy and forgot. Later that day, I found the once pinkish rose was now greenish (our new house color). I was sad for a moment, but then decided that in the name of progress, it was okay. The next morning I went out to check on things and found that rose was again blooming. It made me smile. I got to thinking, shouldn’t we be like that rose and just keep blooming despite everything that gets thrown our way?!

OK, Tracey, that is so uplifting. Thank you! And welcome!!
Thank you for such a positive message!!! I agree…we bloom where we are planted and show beauty to those around us!! AWESOME!!
Stunning…I love the metaphor about life, and I really love how the rose looks painted that particular green, yet showing just a bit of who she really is. The images of changes, are moving. They enhance the metaphor of which your speak.
Thank you for sharing!
Yes! Yes we should!! Yes. We. Should. Good reminder. Needed that today. LYS!
What a Blessing this was to me when I read it. Thank you for posting!
Great metaphor! I can really relate to it. Lovely pictures too!
I actually like the roses with the green/grey tint on the leaves!
