Dachau. Just the word gives me an emotion hard to describe, and I’ve never been there. I’m glad you recorded your experience with words and photos at the time. We need to remember. We need to consider. We need to give thanks and yet be horrified. We need to feel those spirits, and let them know we feel them. We need to make sure the world never has Dachau again. Ever.
I love Elie Wiesel…when I was teaching we actually read Night and then had a Holocaust survivor come and speak…chilling, humbling, and impactful. I am in awe of how Elie Wiesel and so many others overcame such unspeakable acts. LYS

A few years ago, I read “Night” by Elie Wiesel, and your writing takes me back to the way I felt when I read that book.
